Oguche Agudah, Salamotu Isah for 4th African Pension & Retirement Summit in Dubai

Pension Funds Operators Association of Nigeria (PENOP), Mr. Oguche Agudah and the Kaduna State Pension Bureau, Mrs Salamatu Idris Isah will join league of speakers at the 4th Annual Africa Pensions & Retirement Fund Summit brings coming up in Dubai in May, 2023.
The 4th Annual Africa Pensions & Retirement Fund Summit brings together pensions and retirement industry leaders, investors, regulators, policy makers, trustees, academics, subject matter specialists, financial services intermediaries under one umbrella for a 4-day specialist-led deep dive into critical issues impacting the pensions industry across the continent to explore opportunities and provide solutions to these challenges.
The summit is theme: Emerging Markets Investment and Retirement tagged ‘The EMIR Forum’ is scheduled to hold at Fairmont Hotel, Trade Centre, Dubai, United Arab Emirates from 9th – 12th May, 2023.

Servicom Awards Sunday Thomas best 2022 CEO

Service Compact with All Nigerians a.k.a Servicom has awarded the the Commissioner for Insurance/Chief Executive Officer, National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), Mr. Olorundare Sunday and a Letter of Commendation for Best Supportive CEO on SERVICOM
Thomas bagged the award on December 30, 2022 during the End of Year 2022 Meeting and Awards Ceremony in Abuja.
Olorundare Sunday Thomas appointment as the substantive Commissioner for Insurance and Chief Executive Officer of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), Nigeria became effective April 30, 2020; having been appointed in acting capacity in Aug 2019
Thomas was the Deputy Commissioner in charge of technical matters at the Commission between April 2017 and August 2019. Mr Thomas is a thorough-bred insurance professional with vast knowledge and experience in underwriting, regulation and hands-on management of human and material resources spanning over four decades uninterrupted.
During these years, Mr Thomas had traversed the entire insurance sector in Nigeria leaving indelible marks along the way. It is instructive to note that Mr O. S. Thomas (as widely known) as Director-General of the Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA) between May 2010 and April 2017, brought his experience to bear on the job. It is to his credit that the Association successfully developed and deployed the Nigeria Insurance Industry Database (NIID) platform.
He holds a BSc (Hons) in Actuarial Science and an MBA in Finance both from the University of Lagos. He is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London and Nigeria, Member Society of Fellows of the CII London, Member, Nigeria Institute of Management among others.
Mr Thomas is a lover of Tennis and he is happily married with children.
Servicom is an initiative of the Federal Government of Nigeria conceived to promote effective and efficient service delivery in MDAs to ensure customer satisfaction and to manage the performance-expectation gap between Government and citizens as well as other members of the public, on issues of service delivery.
SERVICOM equally gives the public the right to demand good services as contained in MDAs’ Service Charter, One of its goals is to ensure that service takers understand their rights to public services, the service standards they should expect and how to demand for that service or speak up where it is deficient or lacking.
SERVICOM, is a solemn compact as well as an institutional mechanism conceptualized to fight against service failure by ensuring that organs of government in Nigeria deliver to citizens and other residents in the country, the services to which they are entitled to.
