46th FANAF conference holds in Dakar May 23-25

The 46th General Assembly of the Federation of African National Insurance Companies (FANAF) will be held in a hybrid mode from 23 to 25 May 2022 in Dakar, Senegal.
The theme of the event is “Systemic Risks: Insurance and Resilience” with three discussion panels are set up for this edition: Panel 1: regulation and regulatory issues in the face of new systemic risks; Panel 2: Digital challenges in the era of systemic risks, business interruption excluding property damage and Panel 3: the new scope of risk management, consulting and insurance in the face of systemic risks
President of FANAF, César Ekomie-Afene said FANAF up till now is still  in agreement with the Senegalese market, we have planned to carry out in hybrid mode (in person and in videoconference simultaneously) the traditional scientific component of our meeting from May 23 to 25, 2022 in Dakar.
Ekomie-Afene affirmed that it is necessary to rethink the redefinition of the insurance and reinsurance business as well as related businesses, in order to reinforce the current and future resilience of these organizations.
FANAF president who doubles as  the Chairman of the Board of NSIA Assurance Gabon and CEO of NSIA in Gabon opined that development of the selected themes will have to lay the foundations for a good understanding and awareness on”
“The  contribution that insurers can make to the immediate and future resilience of their partners and to the identification, dissemination and implementation of good practices”
